I've been observing a steep rise in the number of autistic children in recent years.
Hopefully with more awareness the occurrence of autism in kids can be decreased or prevented.
Chemical, Pharma industries and government decisions must consider the mental and physical health of children (and by extension the next generation) of paramount importance before pushing any fertilizers, or drugs. (the good kind).
My intention is not to stir up controversies, but attempt to bring to notice any direct/indirect links and studies around autism in children, and hopefully get the attention of people to avoid using chemicals & medications that could possibly be linked. Overtime, it might translate into getting the attention of wise men/women to this topic to resolve this public health failure.
The alarm bells
ABS statistics
"The 2009 SDAC showed an estimated 64,600 Australians had autism. This is an increase of 34,200 from the 2003 SDAC, or more than double the prevalence identified in 2003"
"According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers (SDAC), an estimated 164,000 Australians had autism in 2015. This represented an overall prevalence rate of 0.7%, or about 1 in 150 people."
So in Australia, the number of people with autism,
in 2003, 1 in 500 (19 Million was the population in 2003)
in 2015, 1 in 150
Worldwide
"In 1975, scientists estimated that 1 child in 5,000 has autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
In 1985, it was 1 in every 2,500,
By 1995, it was 1 in every 500,
By 2005, that had changed to 1 in 166 and
today, 1 in 100 and debatably 64 (apparently in US its 1 in 36 currently) and according to some estimates,
by 2035, if not much before, it would be 1 in every 2 children"
The exact number of children affected today maybe debatable due to what is considered to be in the autism spectrum, but the exponential rise in occurrences cannot be denied.
Solution
There is no easy solution as I see but from what I gather,
- some pesticides/herbicides contain harmful chemicals that most likely result in neurological disorders in children.
Better to mow than spray
- some vaccinations contain "mercury" that most likely result in neurological disorders in children.
Avoid the ones that are not mandatory or seek alternatives, if exist
So best bet is to stay away from herbicides/pesticides, especially pay attention to glyphosate (exists in some well known weed killers), corn (GMO) and needless medications and useless vaccinations.
Educate young couples and expecting mothers that its not worth the risk of unnecessary medications during these times.
